Roll Steering

Now your autopilot can make GPS-based turns in addition to flying straight lines! SAM's roll steering uses your autopilot's heading mode, anticipating turns by continually accounting for current winds and your ground speed. Your autopilot will fly all waypoint turns -- hands off!

Verbal alerts annunciate each waypoint passage, plus other up-to-the-moment information such as bearing, distance, and time to the next waypoint, greatly increasing situational awareness.

Altitude Alerter

To assist with altitude management, target altitudes are easily updated. SAM will then advise the approach to or deviation from the target.

When a destination altitude is set, a gear check alert will be provided at the pre-established height above that altitude.

Systems Monitoring and Alerting

A wide range of aircraft systems can be monitored by SAM to provide secondary alerts via aural and visual annunciations. These can include voltage, oil pressure, vacuum pumps, engine monitors, stall warning, etc.
